YMCA Locations Offer Child Care on Election Day

On Election Day, certain YMCA locations are offering a safe place for parents to drop off their children while they vote.

On Election Day, YMCA’s across the country are “doing their part” to help busy moms and dads vote.

The “Zoe’s Kids Day Out” is a nationwide initiative to provide kids a safe place to play on Election Day. YMCA members will be allowed to drop off their children, vote, and then return to pick their children up.

Even though the initiative is nationwide, there are only a select number of locations that will offer this service because of staffing and scheduling.

Below is the list of north Texas YMCA’s participating in the initiative:

YMCA Flower Mound

  • Between 8 a.m. - noon, 5:30 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.

YMCA Camp on the Lake - Highland Village North

  • Between 7:45 a.m. - 1 p.m., and 4:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

YMCA Dallas at Town North

  • Between 7:45 a.m. - 1 p.m., and 4:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
