A Houston mom has given birth to five girls in what it believes is the first set of all-female quintuplets born in the U.S., her hospital said.
The Woman's Hospital of Texas said it took four minutes for Danielle Busby to deliver to the babies by cesarean section April 8.
Danielle Busby, husband Adam and big sister Blayke welcomed Olivia Marie, Ava Lane, Hazel Grace, Parker Kate and Riley Paige.
Their birth weights ranged from 2 pounds, to 2 pounds 6 ounces.
Doctors say the children, born premature at 28 weeks, were doing well on Wednesday. Dr. Jayne Finkowski-Rivera says the babies are only requiring modest help breathing.
Dr. Alexander Reiter delivered the babies with the help from more than a dozen other medical personnel. Seven board-certified neonatologists also were among the five medical teams assembled to provide care after the babies' arrival.
Hospital officials said the mother had an intrauterine insemination for both of her pregnancies.

Busby says she never thought she would have six kids -- much less six girls.
Last year, the hospital delivered 318 sets of twins and 16 sets of triplets.
There were just 66 quintuplet and other higher order births across the U.S. in 2013, according to the latest government data.
