Westbound I-20 Reopens in Southeast Fort Worth After Hole Discovered in Bridge

A small hole in a bridge along Interstate 20 in southeast Fort Worth has forced officials to close the highway ahead of rush hour Wednesday.

A small hole that formed in a bridge on Interstate 20 in southeast Fort Worth has been repaired Thursday morning after snarling traffic at the height of rush hour the day before.

The hole was in the center lane of the westbound I-20 bridge over Business 287/Kennedale Parkway, west of the U.S. 287/Loop 820 split.

Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation had closed the bridge through rush hour Wednesday so crews could fill it in.

All lanes of I-20 were reopened at about 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
