A North Texas mom wants answers after her son with special needs was arrested at school.
It happened after Tristan Jabre, 10, had an outburst at Dunaway Elementary School in Waxahachie.
Tristan is in the special education program at the school.
He hasn't been at school since Tuesday, Jan. 27, when he was arrested then held overnight in a juvenile detention center.
Mother Ryann Jabre said Tristan has the mental capacity of a child half his age.
"Kids like Tristan, they can't express themselves like a normal person," she said.
Documents show Tristan became violent with staff at Dunaway Elementary on Monday, Jan. 26, and again that Tuesday, the day he was arrested.

But Tristan's record of aggressive behavior goes back farther than that.
Ryann Jabre has documents showing Tristan has been restrained at school several times since November for behavior like biting and head-butting staff.
She admits her son is no angel but wants to know why his most recent outburst landed him in handcuffs and juvenile detention.
"I'm not saying what he did was right because it wasn't right. But when you have a child with special needs, you know, they have to be a little bit more lenient," Ryann Jabre said.
A Waxahachie Independent School District spokesperson said in a statement:
"Police responded to an incident at the school, and based on their observations, made the decision to take a student into custody. The safety and security of all students and staff is our number-one priority."
Tristan was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony assault against school employees.
He's been assigned a juvenile probation officer and will have a hearing on March 16 to determine whether his case will move forward or be dropped.
