U.S. 75 Reopens After Man Hit by Vehicles

Travel southbound on U.S. 75 is slow in Plano after a crash where a man was struck by several vehicles early Wednesday morning.

Plano Police Department spokesman David Tilley said they're still trying to determine if the man fell from a bridge or out of a vehicle onto U.S. 75 where he was then struck by several cars near Plano Parkway.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Tilley.

Two lanes of U.S. 75 that were closed while the scene was investigated have since reopened.  Traffic is still slow in the area and drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

"Clearly we want to make sure we do our due dilligence from the onset, and do the investigation appropriately and make sure we have everything covered, so we can determine no crime has been committed," Tilley said.

Police said all the vehicles that struck the man stopped to assist.
