Fort Worth firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire at a recycling plant Friday evening, officials say.[[323286061,C]]
The fire was reported just before 8 p.m. at Gachman Metals & Recycling Company in the 2600 block of Shamrock Avenue.
People from across Tarrant County could see the smoke from the fire.
Firefighters were later able to get the blaze under control, and no injuries were reported.
Because of the 90-degree temperatures, firefighting crews had to be rotated throughout the evening.
There's no word yet on the cause of the fire, and an investigation is underway.
