Trial to begin for man who killed Muhlaysia Booker

The trial will begin this week in the 2019 shooting death of Muhlaysia Booker, a black transgender woman. Dallas police arrested Kendrell Lavar Lyles weeks after the murder. One local leader in the trans community tells NBC 5’s Candace Sweat that they’ll be watching the case closely.
