With help from Santa Claus and NBC's Newy Scruggs, Texas Motor Speedway officially turned on the switch to light the "Biggest Living Christmas Tree In Texas" Tuesday.
Following the tree lighting, Speedway Children's Charities-Texas Chapter will distribute more than $200,000 in grants to North Texas charities, including the $125,000 Founder's Grant awarded to The Parenting Center.
NBC 5’s Newy Scruggs helped light the Christmas tree at Texas Motor Speedway Tuesday night.
The ceremony concluded with a luminous holiday fireworks extravaganza at and the distribution of 100 bicycles and helmets to local underprivileged children.
