The body of a 14-year-old boy was recovered from Benbrook Lake Tuesday morning.
The boy, Miguel Gallegos, was found near Mustang Park not far from where he was reported missing Saturday night.
According to a report in the Star-Telegram, Capt. Neal Bieler with Texas Parks and Wildlife said the boy was attempting to swim to shore after being out in the lake in a paddle boat with four or five friends.
Gallegos was not wearing a life jacket. His official cause of death will be determined by the Tarrant County medical examiner.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department was conducting the search.
