Suspects arrested in Shreveport in connection with shooting, carjacking of Dallas officer

Tytionna Lewis, Redricous Lewis and Camron McCullough were booked into jail early Thursday, records say

Three people were arrested late Wednesday in Shreveport in connection with the shooting and carjacking of a Dallas police officer this week, according to jail records.

Redricous Lewis, 19, Redtravion Polk, 17, and Xavier Cook, 18,were arrested on charges of aggravated robbery, Dallas police said. Only Lewis appeared in Shreveport city jail records Thursday afternoon. Dallas police did not specify where Polk and Cook were being detained. It was unclear whether they had attorneys.

What police allege each person did in the shooting and robbery was not clear. Dallas police said the investigation into the shooting was ongoing, and additional charges are possible. Shreveport police did not respond to a request for comment.

Earlier in the day Thursday, jail records showed Lewis and two others had been arrested during an investigation into the attempted homicide of a police officer. Tytionna Lewis, 26, and Camron McCullough, 18, were arrested on various drug and gun charges, jail records show. It was unclear whether they had attorneys.

Authorities obtained search warrants for the Lewises and McCullough in Shreveport, about 200 miles east of Dallas, and all were found with 110 grams of suspected marijuana, two bags of cocaine, a digital scale, packing material and multiple firearms, according to the records.
