Small Plane Lands Safely After Engine Problems in Grand Prairie

A small plane that experienced engine problems safely landed in a parking lot next to the Grand Prairie Police Department.

Grand Prairie police said that shortly after takeoff from Grand Prairie Airport, a pilot experienced engine problems at about 4 p.m.

Officials said the plane was able land safely in the 1500 block of Arkansas Lane, in the parking lot of an apartment complex near the Grand Prairie Police Department. No one was hurt in the emergency landing.

The plane will be towed back to Grand Prairie Airport which is in the 3100 block of Great Southwest Parkway.
