U.S. Marshals Task Force makes arrest four months after shooting on Westmoreland Road left one man dead

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was gunned down in Dallas late Saturday night.

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers received a call around 11:50 p.m. about a shooting in the 2900 block of Westmoreland Road.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, 53-year-old Steven Jordan was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Dallas Police announced on June 13, 2024 that the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Paul Crockett, 29. He was booked into the Dallas County Jail and is charged with murder. No word on if he has retained an attorney.
