Dallas firefighters helped fight a large fire in Wilmer Wednesday afternoon.
Dallas Fire-Rescue said they were called at about 12:15 p.m. to assist in fighting a vehicle fire at a rural Wilmer business located at 2930 Post Oak Road. DFR said subsequent reports indicated the fire had spread to a number of pallets.
On Thursday, the Wilmer Fire Department shared more information and said they were called to the fire at about noon and arrived to find the cab of a semi-tractor "fully involved." The Wilmer Fire Department said the heat from the truck fire ignited a stack of polypropylene pallets being stored at the facility.

Wilmer FD said a strong wind helped spread the flames across the pallets and sent huge amounts of thick black smoke into the air.
Texas Sky Ranger flew over the site and saw at least one semi-tractor on fire adjacent to a large area covered in flames.
Firefighters got the blaze under control at about 3:30 p.m.
Online records show the business at the address is a diesel repair facility.
Joining Wilmer and Dallas Fire-Rescue in fighting the fire were firefighters from Dallas County Fire, Hutchins Fire, the Ferris DPS, and Forney Fire.
No injuries were reported, and the fire's cause is currently unknown.
