NBC 5 & Wingstop Celebrate Scholar Athletes

Ten North Texas seniors were nominated and were named Wingstop's Scholar Athlete of the month and won a $1,000 scholarship.

On Thursday, June 16, NBC 5 and Wingstop honored the ten seniors and their parents with a banquet.

NBC 5's David Watkins emceed the event where the seniors received their official $1,000 check, which the students can use as they wish at college.

Winners and their parents feasted on Wingstop wings as Watkins highlighted their achievements, showing the NBC 5 videos that featured the winners.

Each student also received a plaque and other NBC 5 and Wingstop swag in their gift bags.
