Psycho Shanon Back in the Hospital One Month After Surgery

The producer of “Kidd Kraddick in the Morning” radio show is back in the hospital just one month after she underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor.

The producer of the radio show "Kidd Kraddick in the Morning" is back in the hospital Monday after undergoing brain surgery just last month.

Shanon Murphy, better known as Psycho Shanon to radio show listeners, was admitted to a Dallas-area hospital this weekend after doctors became concerned about her operation wound.

Murphy had a benign brain tumor removed in mid-November and isn't recovering as well as doctors expected.

“I'm learning that there's maybe some of us not meant to have the easiest of paths on life,” Murphy said from her hospital bed. “I'm just taking it as it comes, and it's just another bump in the road.”

Murphy is in the intensive care unit.

“There's some swelling going on and he just wants to keep a close eye on it make sure there's no chance the open wound gets infected,” Murphy said.

She hopes to get out of the hospital mid-week, there’s no timetable for when she’ll be back on the radio with her fellow cast members.

“I'm kind of depending on a walker right now to get around, cause I still walk into things, can't really focus very well visually,” said Murphy. “Since so much of my work is standing there and typing stuff into a computer, I'd be pretty much a hindrance to the show.”

While she lays in her hospital bed, she said she’s always thinking of the man who she’s shared airwaves with, the host of "Kidd Kraddick in the Morning," Kidd Kraddick himself.

Kraddick died suddenly this summer of cardiac disease.

“If anything should go wrong I got them looking over me and hopefully his ADD will calm down long enough for him to focus on my healing, and he'll help me get through it,” Murphy joked.
