If you hoped to get your vehicle out of the Dallas auto pound, you're out of luck until Monday morning.
According to Dallas police department's blog, a downed power transformer caused an electricity outage that shutdown the auto pound at 1955 Vilbig Road.
Crews on scene said heavy rain saturated the ground, causing an utility pole holding the transformer to fall, cutting power to the pound.
Nearby neighbors did not lose power.
The impound lot will remain closed until Monday at 9:00 a.m.
Dallas police said the fees will be waived due to the outage.
