Authorities said they arrested two people they suspect in a robbery after a crash that shut down Interstate 30 Thursday morning.
Dallas police said officers responded to a robbery call in the 11700 block of Northwest Highway at at 5:31 a.m.
Two people suspected of being involved in the robbery drove away from the scene and were involved in a crash on westbound I-30 near Interstate 635 shortly after. Police said they took one of the people into custody at the scene.
Dallas and Mesquite officers searched a nearby Celebration Station and areas of I-635 and apprehended the second person shortly after. [[441625963,C]]
The two people suspected in the robbery were transported to hospitals with injuries that police said were not life threatening. They will be charged with evading arrest and robbery.
The citizens involved in the crash were treated at the scene and released.
All westbound lanes of I-30 were closed for several hours during the investigation.
