In a statement, a police spokesman confirmed the shooting took place near the intersection of Shiloh Road and 14th Street.
Police say after a man got into an argument with a convenience store clerk, he and an off-duty officer began firing at each other in the parking lot.
When the police arrived, they say the off-duty officer secured his weapon and the man was taken into custody.

A second man was also detained though police have yet to say how he was involved.
Circumstances of what led up to the shooting are not yet known.
No one was injured.

Police described the incident as being isolated and asked for people to avoid the area as investigators cleared the crime scene.
Video from the scene showed multiple police vehicles parked in the area, with crime scene tape blocking off parking lots.
