Police Ask for Help Identifying Man Who Robbed Metro PCS Store

Fort Worth police are searching for the man who forced customers to the ground at gunpoint while robbing a Metro PCS store on Friday.

Police said the man entered the store on the 2800 block of Miller Avenue at about 4 p.m., pulled out a large handgun and ordered several people to the ground as he paced through the store waving the gun back and forth.

The man then forced employees to hand over an undisclosed amount of cash before he left through the front door.

Surveillance video recorded the entire robbery.

The man is described as black, in his 20s and standing about 6 feet tall. He weighs an estimated 200 pounds and was wearing a red, long-sleeve button-up shirt, tan pants and blue athletic shoes. He was also wearing blue latex gloves and a net on his head.

Detectives are also hoping to speak with an unidentified black woman who was in the store but left immediately before the robbery.

Police initially shared a Texas license plate that may have been the getaway car, but investigators later determined the owner of the car was not involved in the armed robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 817-392-4469 or 817-944-5350.
