Omni Hotel Flooded After Pipeline Break

Fort Worth hotel under two-feet of water in some places

A water pipeline break is blamed for damage to a new hotel in downtown Fort Worth.

Firefighting and other emergency personnel responded early Thursday to the Omni Fort Worth Hotel.

KDFW-TV reports as much as 100,000 gallons spewed from the pipe, causing an undetermined amount of damage, including water standing 2 feet deep in places.

No injuries were reported.

The grand opening for the hotel, adjacent to the Fort Worth Convention Center, was held earlier this year. The hotel's Web site says it has 614 guest rooms and suites.
