Partnership bolsters deaf North Texans in the workplace

Finding a job you love can be hard enough, but for deaf people, it can be even more difficult. According to the “national deaf center on postsecondary outcomes” at UT in Austin, only 54 percent of deaf people in the U.S. are employed. That’s compared with 70 percent of hearing people. One reason is communication barriers in the workplace. We show you how one of the largest employers in North Texas and a local college are teaming up to change that.
