Dallas police said they've arrested several men and charged them with indecent exposure inside the bathrooms of department stores at NorthPark Center, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Officers have run similar sex stings at NorthPark before based on complaints and have now made several arrests following incidents at Macy's and Dillard's, Lt. Christina Smith told DallasNews reporter Steve Thompson.
"Shopping malls and parks are some of the places that we have known that this activity takes place," said Lt. Christina Smith, of the Dallas police.
In one instance, investigators said a man was masturbating when an officer opened the stall door. After a brief conversation, the man invited the officer into the stall. The invitation led to his arrest.
In another situation, police said a man wrote a text message on his cell phone and told the officer to meet him in the bathroom. The officer nodded, and they walked to the Dillard's bathroom. Police said the man went to the last stall, unzipped his blue jeans and pulled them below his waist. While facing the officer, who stood outside the stall, the man began pleasuring himself.
