Classes at North Lake College will resume Monday after last week's shooting that left two people dead.
North Lake College has posted on it's website that counseling services will be available to anyone in the library on Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Baptist Student Ministries and Crossing Cultures will be offering free donuts and coffee on Monday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the J-Hallway.
Therapy dogs will also be on campus Monday. They will be in the C-Building from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and then in the J-Hallway from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
It was Wednesday when a man took his own life after shooting a woman multiple times in a hallway of the college campus.
Irving Police identified the woman as 20-year-old Janeera Nickol Gonzalez. The suspected gunman has been identified as 21-year-old Adrian Victor Torres.
North Lake President Dr. Christa Slejko said there could have been between 4,000 and 5,000 people on campus at the time of the shooting.
North Lake College tweeted out a photo on Friday, encouraging people to help grow a memorial for Janeera on the north side of the library.
Final exams and classes will continue as scheduled. The school says on it's website that if you had final exams scheduled on Friday or Saturday May 5 & 6, to contact your instructor for more information.
