A Midway worker at the State Fair of Texas was injured on Monday after a piece of a ride broke off and hit him.
According to fair officials, a wheel flew off the "Crazy Mouse" ride at about 1:30 Monday, striking the worker in the legs.
He was transported to Baylor Medical Center Dallas with a non life-threatening injury.
After the incident, the ride automatically shut down with people on board. The visitors were safely removed from the ride with no injuries.
Crazy Mouse is a small roller coaster with spinning cars that carry four riders each
Fair officials tell NBC DFW the ride was inspected earlier in the day, as were all the rides.
