Students at McKinney High School were held out of class briefly Monday following a bomb threat.
Just before 11 a.m., district officials said the school was evacuated and the students moved to a secure location due to a bomb threat.
The district said in their post that they didn't believe there was cause for immediate concern but that they would always err on the side of caution.
The McKinney police arrived a short time later and searched the campus. Nothing was found.
At about 11:20 a.m., the district said the security sweep had been completed and that students would be allowed to return to class momentarily.
Further details about the threat have not been released.
