No Injuries in Massive Fort Worth Apartment Fire

Firefighters battled a massive fire at an apartment complex in west Fort Worth.

Nobody was injured as a two-alarm fire ripped through a Fort Worth apartment building Thursday evening. [[347267942,R]]

Flames broke out at about 5:30 p.m. at the Park Plaza Apartments near the intersection of Dakar and East Arden roads, just east of Ridgmar Mall.

Officials reported seeing heavy fire shooting through the roof of one of the buildings.

Fire crews extinquished the flames within about an hour.

Sixteen units were damaged or destroyed, and teams from the American Red Cross are assisting the approximately 50 people who were affected by the fire.
