1 in Custody in Fatal Shooting of Lewisville Man

Witnesses report seeing two people running from the area

Lewisville police said one person is in custody and they're searching for another in connection with the fatal shooting of a man inside an apartment Tuesday night.

Police responded to the Hampton Bay Apartments in the 200 block of East Southwest Parkway near Texas 121 at 7:21 p.m. and found the deceased man — later identified as 27-year-old Richard Myles — inside.

Officers also found Myles' the victim's 2-year-old son, who was not harmed.

After the initial investigation, police said detectives learned that 23-year-old Adrian Quigley and another person arrived to meet with Myles. Shortly after going into Myles' apartment, the third person shot Myles and Quigley.

Police said witnesses told them Quigley and the other person fled the apartment with some of Myles' property.

Detectives obtained a capital murder warrant for Quigley, a documented member of the Crips street gang. Quigley surrendered at the Lewisville Police Department at about 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said they are still trying to identify the second person who went into Myles apartment.

Child Protective Services released Myles' son to family members.
