A Fort Worth father has been released from custody after he told police he shot his son in self defense. [[419739173,R]]
Following an argument, a 28-year-old man tried to run his father over in the 2900 block of Danube Court at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.
That's when the father shot his son, according to police. The son was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition, police said.
The father was briefly detained and was later released, police said.
