A man pushing an ice cream cart in the road was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday, Irving police say.
Jose Gerardo Arredondo, 64, had been walking down the right side of the 3600 block of Jackson Street and stepped into the path of an oncoming vehicle, police said.
The vehicle struck the cart and Arredondo, who was pronounced dead at 6:38 p.m.
