The body of a boater who jumped into Lake Lewisville Sunday evening for a swim and did not resurface was recovered Monday night.
Texas Game Wardens and the Lewisville Fire Department were called to a possible drowning at Lake Lewisville at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Initial reports indicate a 23-year-old man rented a boat with some friends and jumped into the lake for a swim. According to the Texas Game Warden, he was last seen going underwater in an area around 45 feet deep.
The search lasted into Sunday evening and resumed Monday morning with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers joining the recovery effort.

Lewisville Fire said Monday's search efforts were halted after they were unable to find the victim. The search was then turned over to the Game Warden.
On Monday night, the Game Warden said they found the man's body using side scan sonar, and he was recovered by the Lewisville Fire Department's dive team.
The man will be identified after his family has been notified of his death.
