Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth lifted its shelter-in-place alert that was activated Tuesday afternoon.
The university received a report of a "suspicious individual, potentially with a gun, near the Nenetta Burton Carter Building," according to the school's social media pages.
The university shared on social media at 2:27 p.m. that the campus had issued the shelter-in-place alert.

The shelter-in-place was lifted at 3:49 p.m. and the Fort Worth Police gave the all-clear after the suspect was taken into custody.
