Latino vote played pivotal role in Texas elections

Republican candidates won every statewide race, re-elected Ted Cruz to the Senate, and put Donald Trump back in the White House. The victory continues the state’s streak of going red in every presidential election since 1976. It also ended the Democrats’ 120-year grip in the border county of Starr with 57% of the vote. The Latino vote played a key role in this election.
