Dallas police say a homeowner shot a burglar he discovered inside his home late Saturday night. [[393896201, C]]
The man called police about a burglary at a home in the 1000 block of Burlywood Drive just before 11:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they talked to the man who said he heard glass breaking and saw a man standing inside his home, so he shot at him and the burglar ran.
Police caught up with 30-year-old James Nero a short time later and officers say he confirmed he was involved in the home break-in.
Nero was treated for gunshot wound at a local hospital and then taken to Lew Sterrett Justice Center, according to police.
