Newly released satellite images of this week's Presidential Inauguration show the masses in the National Mall.
Geo-Eye-One satellite snapped pictures of Washington D.C.'s National Mall on Tuesday morning.
The satellite spanned over an estimated 1.7 million onlookers packed in just before the swearing in of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
The satellite was 423 miles above the surface of the Earth when it took the photograph.
