H-E-B is holding another job fair this Saturday to fill open positions at its upcoming Plano store.
The San Antonio-based grocer said itβs hiring 700 people for the store thatβs under construction at 6001 Preston Road in Plano.
The job fair is Saturday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Collin College on East Spring Creek Parkway. Applications can also be found online.
Most hourly store roles start at $15 an hour, plus other benefits.
The Texas-based retailer has two stores under construction in Plano and Frisco that are expected to open this fall.
"Everybody's chomping at the bit for them to open," said Judi Gugel, owner of Labels Designer Consignment Boutique, a store next to the Plano HEB.
Gugel says the shopping center she's located in is already benefiting from HEB, even though it isn't even open yet.
"I just signed another lease. I was not going to sign another lease but I signed it because I knew that this is what I needed to do, due to the fact of whatβs going on in this one little corner," Gugel said.

Steve Stoler, director of media relations for the City of Plano, says the store will benefit the local economy and believes it'll benefit consumers, too.
"I think anytime that consumers get another choice that it's always good for them," Stoler said.
Two more H-E-Bs are expected to open next summer in McKinney and Allen, The Dallas Morning News reports.
