A Greenville police officer was shot in the line of duty on Monday night, police say.
According to the Greenville Police Department, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 3500 block of Pickett Street.
Information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting is limited, but there was an exchange of gunfire, police said.
Greenville police said a suspect was also shot during the incident.

No details regarding the identity of the shooter have been released at this time.
