Fort Worth firefighters are battling a blaze at a scrap yard in northwest Fort Worth.
The 2-alarm fire is at Texas Industrial Scrap Iron in the 3800 block of N. Commerce Street near Meacham Airport.
Thick black smoke filled the air as Chopper 5 arrived on scene Monday afternoon.
Representatives with Texas Industrial Scrap Iron say the fire originated in a pile of scrap metal and workers were unable to extinguish the flames before it spread.
There have been no injuries in the fire.
