Johnson County officials said two new arrest warrants have been issued for former Maypearl Chief of Police Kevin Coffey.
Coffey is already behind bars in Ellis County charged with several counts, including sexual assault of a child.
Friday, Johnson County deputies added warrants for sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by contact outside of their jurisdiction.
These new warrant bonds are placed at $150,000 each, making bonds on all cases pending against Coffey between the Ellis County cases and Johnson County totaling $650,000.
Coffey was notified of these new charges by a judge Friday morning.
Coffey remains in custody in the Ellis County jail.
