Firefighters in Fort Worth worked through the early morning hours Friday to control a large fire inside a home on the city’s west side.
Authorities said about 70 firefighters worked to extinguish a three-alarm fire at a large Fort Worth home early Friday morning, the day after fighting a smaller fire at the same address. [[393665921,C]]
Fort Worth firefighters responded to a call at the home in the Westover Hills area at about 12:30 a.m. and found heavy smoke and flames showing through the roof.
Firefighters said they had trouble accessing the neighborhood's fire hydrants because the streets are narrow and the house is set back from the road.
Authorities said they determined it was too dangerous to send firefighters inside. They fought it from the outside for several hours.
No one was in the house at the time of the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
Firefighters said they responded to the same address Thursday for what was described as a "very small fire." They did not say whether the two fires are linked.
No estimate was given on damage to the home, but firefighters said it is significant.
