Donald Trump Attends Dallas Fundraiser

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump attended a private fundraiser with Dallas County donors prior to Thursday’s rally in Dallas.

Donald Trump started his evening Thursday by attending a private fundraising even with top Republican donors from North Texas.

"Dump Trump, Dump Trump," protestors exclaimed.

About a dozen protesters could be found outside of the Highland Hotel off of Central Expressway and Mockingbird Lane.

They greeted Trump with signs that read "Dump Trump" and "Say No to Trump."

"As a 24-year-old, I think that it's important for me to stand against bigotry and racism and sexism," said protester, Christian Parks.

There has been a heavy police presence at the hotel all day in anticipation of the fundraising event and potential protests.

The fundraiser was a private, invitation-only event hosted by the Republican National Committee and the Trump Campaign.

Tickets ranged from $500 to $250,000.

Organizers remained tight-lipped about the evening's guest list and wouldn't say how many people were in attendance.

The email invitation urged North Texas Republicans to come together and unite as a party to support Trump as the presumptive nominee so they can take back the White House in November.
