Deion Sanders' Child Support Reduced

Pilar and Deion Sanders were in court Wednesday as she pushed to have their prenuptial agreement declared invalid and their 13-year marriage annulled.

A judge has reduced Deion Sanders' child support payment to Pilar Sanders at the latest hearing in the couple's divorce saga.

The estranged couple appeared in court Wednesday for a child-support hearing.

Pilar Sanders said her husband has paid some monthly support but is behind in payments by almost $50,000.

Deion Sanders said the initial court-ordered support of $10,550 per month was outrageous. He said he has consistently paid $4,500 per month and has the canceled checks to prove it.

The judge cut Deion Sanders' child support payments to $5,500 per month.

He will retain temporary custody of his two sons, and Pilar Sanders will have custody of their daughter with specified visitation for Deion Sanders.

Pilar Sanders' attorneys also said they have filed paperwork to invalidate the prenuptial agreement she signed in 1998. They want the marriage legally annulled and the estate declared community property.

The child support hearing was continued until Jan. 9.
