Deadly Shooting at Fort Worth Grocery Store

One person is dead following an attempted robbery at Lincoln Grocery Store, located in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue and northwest 16th Street, police said.

One person is dead following an attempted robbery at Lincoln Grocery Store, located in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue and northwest 16th Street, police said.

According to police, three hispanic males entered the store just before 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The first one demaded money from a store clerk, while a second man was holding a shotgun.

The clerk gave the first man his wallet, then pulled out a gun and shot and killed the man who was holding the shotgun.

The man who was killed has been identified as 18-year-old Christian Carvajal of Fort Worth.

The other two men ran out of the store and are still on the lam.

There is no word whether any charges will be filed.
