A Dallas woman who originally sought to be "The Biggest Loser" on NBC's hit reality show is embracing her curves as she seeks a plus-sized prince on Fox's "More to Love."
Natalia Jackson, a 28-year-old make-up artist who grew up in Fort Worth, is one of 20 voluptuous ladies debuting on a reality tv show that is a bit more like reality in the size of its cast members.
The show comes from "The Bachelor" producers and aims to prove that love comes in a variety of packages.
“This is a dating show that sends the right message about embracing and loving yourself, no matter your shape or size,” executive producer Mike Fleiss said on the show's Facebook page. “When you are comfortable with your own body, you can really allow yourself to be open to the possibility of finding the right person to love.”
Jackson, a 279-pound blond beauty, said she found out about the show from a casting director she met when she auditioned for NBC's "The Biggest Loser." She said she's proud to have made it as a contestant on "More To Love" and hopes the show changes the tide in a world where leading ladies are usually a size two.
"I think it's great to show that a person doesn't have to be super-skinny to be attractive," Jackson told The Dallas Morning News. "It's really more a matter of being confident in who you are. And I think it's great that Fox finally said, 'We are going to do this for plus-size people and put it out there.' "
The series starts Tuesday at 8 p.m. and will unfold with the women vying to win the heart of the show's 300-pound bachelor.
