Dallas Police Department officials said they're investigating after they found a woman dead in her bathtub Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a burglary call at a home in the 2000 block of Gaylord Drive at about 3 p.m. and found Ruby Mendoza, 24, dead, according to police.
Police said Mendoza had not been heard from since Saturday, so the reporting person who called police went to her home to check on her.
The reporting person and a neighbor told police that they saw a broken rear window and could hear water running inside the residence. They forced the front door open and found Mendoza dead, according to police.
Police said they could not determine a cause of death until an autopsy is completed.
