Dallas Police released a 911 call and body camera footage of a shooting that happened on Tuesday.
According to the Dallas Police Department, officers were called to the 11000 block of Joaquin Drive at about 3:20 p.m. after six 911 calls reported seeing an armed man waving a gun at passersby.
Video footage released by Dallas Police shows officers Juan Lopez-Navarro and Nathaniel Cairns arriving at the scene to find a man holding a weapon. Officers can be heard giving verbal commands in both English and Spanish for him to get on the ground but he instead pointed a gun at the officers.
Several shots can be heard being fired and Dallas police confirmed the officers shot the man. The officers can then be seen providing first aid.

The man, who has been identified as 52-year-old Michael Alonzo, was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition. Police said Alonzo had several surgeries and remains stable. No other injuries were reported.
Alonzo's weapon was recovered at the scene and was later determined to be a replica firearm, specifically, a Crosman revolver C02 air pistol, according to Dallas police.
Alonzo is being charged with three counts of deadly conduct and additional charges may follow.

There is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Dallas Police Special Investigations Unit.
The incident occurred in the Casa View neighborhood near Centerville and Shiloh roads, not far from Casa View Elementary School and Casa View Park. Students in the Dallas ISD returned to school on Tuesday after winter break. The Dallas ISD said students were already out of school when the incident occurred, and it did not affect dismissal.
After a shooting, officers are typically placed on administrative leave while the shooting is investigated by the police department and the Dallas County District Attorney's Office.
