The rapper known as Boosie Badazz was shot Saturday afternoon near Big T Plaza in Dallas, according to a Dallas police report.

Police confirmed that officers responded to an armed encounter around 2:07 p.m. Saturday near Big T Plaza on Village Fair Drive just north of Ledbetter, but said when officers arrived there was not an active scene.

About an hour later, officers were called to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where a man had been shot in an incident possibly related to the Ledbetter shooting.

The victim was "uncooperative and refused to give officers any information about who, what, and where he was shot. The complainant stated he did not want to talk to officers," police said.

A police report states that the victim of the Ledbetter shooting is 38-year-old Torrence Hatch, which is the rapper's given name.

Noble was shot on the highway near Marsalis Avenue shortly before noon. The A post on Instagram showed the rapper at a vigil Friday outside Dallas City Hall for Melvin Noble, the 28-year-old rapper known as Mo3 who was gunned down Wednesday on Interstate 35 E.

The shooter began to approach the Noble's car on foot, and Noble got out and began running before he was shot, police said.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. A man in another vehicle was also wounded in the shooting, but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have not said whether the shootings of Hatch and Noble are connected or whether any arrests have been made in either case.
