Cumby Elementary School and High School were on lockdown Thursday because of nearby police activity, according to district officials.
Cumby Independent School District officials said they were not letting any students at either school outside the building while the police were in the area.
No details about the incident involving police were released, but officials said it is not related to the schools.
The lockdowns were lifted by 1:30 p.m., the school reported on it's website.
