A dive team recovered the body of a 63-year-old man in Grapevine Lake Sunday after he went missing a day earlier, fire officials say.
The man jumped off a pontoon boat at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, to try to help a swimmer who was not wearing a life jacket, and never resurfaced, according to the Flower Mound Fire Department.
Officials said crews did not find the man Saturday and resumed searching Sunday at 7:30 a.m. His body was located at about 5:15 pm.
The man was not wearing a life jacket.

The recovery was a joint effort between the Texas Game Warden, Flower Mound Fire Department and Grapevine Fire Department.
Officials urged everyone to wear a life jacket while they are on the water.
