The internet-famous spider monkey known as "Jorgie Boy" has been transferred to a sanctuary in Burleson.

His owner said Dallas police confiscated the monkey last weekend after a crash, where she was arrested for DWI.

NBC 5 visited Funky Monkey Ranch in Burleson Friday and Jorgie Boy appeared to be getting along with the other monkeys the sanctuary has in their care.

The owner of the sanctuary says Jorgie Boy is malnourished and is recommending animal neglect charges.

The former owner tells NBC 5 she took good care of Jorgie Boy.

Earlier this week she told NBC 5 she plans to fight both the DWI allegations and is desperately trying to get her beloved monkey back.

Jorgie Boy, the spider monkey Dallas police confiscated last week, has been moved to Funky Monkey Ranch in Burleson and appears to be getting along with other monkeys at the sanctuary.
