Community honors Atatiana Jefferson five years after death

Oct. 12 marks five years since 28-year-old Tatiana Jefferson was shot and killed by a former Fort Worth police officer. As he continues to serve an 11-year prison sentence, neighbors say they’re doing what they can to never forget Jefferson’s life. NBC 5’s Allie Spillyards was there as the community kicked off a weekend-long celebration.
